In the business sector, by taking the early lead in the new market for individual annuity, Samsung has increased its market share from 1.7 % to 22.0 % in the long-term deposit-type insurance market. And, in order to effectively cope with the opening of the Korean insurance market, we have been involved in several major SOC-related insurance marketing projects. As a method of taking the early lead in the Chance market, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance has developed several new products that can adapt to the fast-changing social environment. Total sales have continued to increase with the development of new sales channels such as the Labe (meaning "best lady") sales team, T/M (telemarketing), and in-house sales. While continuing to develop new products that meet the specific needs of clients, such as the "10 million drivers" car insurance program, Samsung has recently agreed to write the insurance policy for Korea's Mugungwha satellite. Not content to stop here, the company will continue to search for new and innovative ways to provide safety and comfort.

In the service sector, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance has constructed an information infrastructure by benchmarking world-renowned insurance concerns and by employing a total of 1,392 specialists to manage a new client-oriented service system. Via an on-line network service, ANSIM, the company is offering new lines of service including advertising, contract checking, and promotion of contracts. The company has made a Korean aid service for international travelers available to clients with individual annuity, and is planning to launch various automobile-related services, including an emergency rescue service for auto insurance policyholders.

In order to created a more energetic company environment and to help employee self-development, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance offers foreign-language study courses and long-term overseas training.
